Quartz Systems

Systems that combine the strength of colored quartz aggregate with a decorative surface, standing up to the heaviest traffic without compromising on aesthetics.

Why quartz

The decorative family’s most durable member.

Quartz systems are full-bodied floors where colored quartz aggregate is bound with resin. Quartz is one of nature’s hardest minerals; when that hardness is carried into the floor, the result is a surface that both shows and endures. Wherever a decorative look must meet heavy use, quartz is the first candidate.

The granular structure of the aggregate gives the surface a natural texture; this texture both hides wear marks and provides slip resistance. In wet rooms, under intensive pedestrian traffic and in areas cleaned frequently, quartz meets aesthetic expectations together with safety and hygiene expectations in a single system.

What sets this system apart
  • Full body: The aggregate build gives the highest durability among decorative systems.
  • Natural slip resistance: The granular texture provides safe grip in wet conditions.
  • Hygienic continuity: The seamless surface can be built uninterrupted, together with the coved skirting detail.
  • Color stability: The color comes from the aggregate itself, not from paint; it does not fade.
Where it is used

Where aesthetics are put to heavy work.

Quartz is the system for spaces where looking good is not enough and endurance is also required.

System cross-section

The color is embedded in the system’s body.

In a quartz floor the color is not a superficial coat; the colored aggregate forms the body itself.

  • Clear top coatProtecting the body and defining the texture grade: the top layer.
  • Colored quartz bodyCarrying the color and durability together: the aggregate main layer.
  • PrimerThe bonding layer providing adhesion to the concrete.
  • Concrete slabThe existing substrate the system is built on, assessed beforehand.

The tones here are representative examples only. Color and texture selection is finalized together over physical samples, according to the space’s light and use.

Key properties

What is expected of a quartz floor.

Mineral hardness

Quartz’s natural durability is carried onto the surface.

Natural slip resistance

The granular texture provides safe grip when wet.

Resistance to heavy traffic

Long life under intensive pedestrian traffic.

Chemical resistance

Endurance under frequent cleaning and chemicals.

Hygienic detailing

Coved, seamless and audit-ready.

Fade-proof color

The color comes from the aggregate and does not fade with use.

Usage intensity

As the conditions get tougher, the body gets thicker.

The classification below is indicative only. The final system is determined by assessing the space’s traffic, wetness level and cleaning regime on site.
