Injection Systems

Permanently resolving voids, cracks and discontinuities in structural elements from the inside, with resins and grouts selected for the purpose.

Why injection

Some problems are reached not from the outside but from within.

There is little that can be done from the outside about a void inside a structural element, an unreachable crack or a discontinuity beneath a floor slab. This is where injection steps in: a fluid material is carried under controlled pressure to exactly where the problem is, and hardens there in a form suited to its duty. Correctly applied, injection is the most elegant intervention there is, with no dismantling and no breaking.

Injection’s language is its material: epoxy for structural rejoining, polyurethane for stopping active water, cement-based suspensions for void filling and ground improvement. Which material is applied, at what pressure and in what layout depends on the diagnosis of the problem; our applications begin with that diagnosis and are documented with consumption records.

What sets this system apart
  • Intervention without dismantling: The problem is solved from the inside, without breaking or emptying the structure.
  • A material for the purpose: The right choice among epoxy, polyurethane and cement-based systems.
  • Controlled pressure: The application runs at a pressure regime that will not harm the element.
  • Consumption records: Traceable handover with point-by-point injection records.
Where it is used

Where the unreachable becomes reachable.

Injection approaches different problems with the same principle: carrying the material to where the problem is.

System cross-section

The material advances under the guidance of pressure.

The injection points, called packers, are arranged per the design; the material spreads through the entire void under controlled pressure.

  • Packer layoutThe points where the material is fed, positioned according to the design.
  • Injection lineThe equipment carrying the material under controlled pressure.
  • Filled voidThe volume permanently filled with a material selected for its duty.
  • Existing elementThe structure or ground, its condition assessed beforehand.

Key properties

What is expected of an injection.

Reaching the target

The material is carried to exactly where the problem is.

Permanent filling

The void is filled with a material suited to its duty.

Respect for the element

Pressure is kept at a regime that will not harm the structure.

A process without dismantling

An intervention requiring no breaking or emptying.

Diagnosis-driven selection

The material is defined by the problem’s language.

Consumption records

Traceable handover with point-based records.

Scope of application

The scope follows the spread of the problem.

The classification below is indicative only. The final scope is determined by the diagnosis of the problem and the site survey.
